The DNP adds a scholarly project on top of the post-baccalaureate practice hours, so we place two things: a project site with a qualified project mentor, and, when the track requires it, clinical preceptors for direct-care hours. See how programs compare on our DNP by school guide.
The AACN sets a floor of at least 1,000 supervised practice hours post-baccalaureate, and totals vary by program. We place to your program's exact requirement rather than a fixed number. Confirm your total with your school.
